What is Google Tag Manager?

Google Tag Manager (GTM) lets you manage multiple marketing tags from one container. With ByeStar, you can fire your GTM container on every short-link click — perfect for conversion tracking without editing destination pages.

Where to find your Container ID

1. Sign in to Google Tag Manager.
2. Open your workspace and copy the Container ID from the top bar.
3. In ByeStar, go to Pixels → Add Pixel → Google Tag Manager and paste the ID.

Format: GTM-XXXXXXX (e.g. GTM-ABC123DE)

• Use a dedicated GTM container for link campaigns so data stays clean.
• Test with GTM Preview mode before running paid ads.
• Combine GTM with UTM parameters on your links for richer reporting.
